Model 1 —

No crown: the wheel on the caseback winds the movement and sets the time.

The dial

A deep blue, an anthracite flange.

  • Applied gold markers, doubled at twelve, and a beaded minute track
  • A steel plate engraved with the signature, screwed on at twelve
  • Small seconds at six, its ring laid over the flange
  • Steel hands, the hour hand ending in a gold square

The caseback

The movement, through the sapphire.

The glass follows the gold wheel that takes the place of the crown. Through it, the TL01 as it was drawn: the gilt bridges, the jewels in their settings, and the beating balance.

The TL01, part by part

A movement is built in an order.

  1. 01The main plate, drilled and gilt.
  2. 02The barrel and the train: the power, then its road to the escapement.
  3. 03The bridges, set down and screwed on their feet.
  4. 04The winding wheels: ratchet and crown.
  5. 05The balance and its hairspring — and the watch starts to beat.
